To win: Reduce infection rate, And inoculate the population. https://t.co/deJsnmaqNr: The more viruses circulate, the more they may change. https://t.co/TXiaokZVTU: any virus with a mutation that doesn’t produce an immune response, will likely spread better. @sajidjavid
@MrClutch_Auto Broken down (clutch problem) on side of Motorway. I have to decide where to drop off my broken car - home or at my local Mr Clutch? Any thoughts?
@Keir_Starmer@BorisJohnson "put in place the capacities for testing and diagnosis, isolation, contact tracing and quarantine;" "Speed, scale, and equity must be our guiding principles" - all cases of COVID‐19 including cases with mild or moderate disease https://t.co/tyDGXNN3yp
From 5th May @WHO "young people living through the COVID-19 pandemic will emerge an empowered generation: a generation that values solidarity and collaboration" https://t.co/R0ftdUlkCs
April 6th @WHO: there is currently no evidence that wearing a mask by healthy persons in the wider community setting, can prevent them from infection with respiratory viruses, including COVID-19. Leave masks for Medical professionals who really need them!
March 2nd @WHO: "standardised, reliable serology testing is something we absolutely need at this point." True then and true now.. Why has / is it taking so long for governments to take action on the World Health Organisation advice?
In 2003 I travelled to China and saw first hand how temperature screening at airports was used to effectively control the spread of SARS. Why did our government not put effective screening at our airports early in the pandemic?
@Health_Eng@uclmecheng@PublicHealthPod United Kingdom, Poland, Romania all seem to follow the same path https://t.co/xp8m12PM2q . No dramatic drop in numbers. Perhaps this could be caused by starting rather late on contact tracing and testing?
#hospitality#restaurants@GoodPubGuide@DominicCumins@BBCr4today reason to close pubs with big beer gardens. No reason not to reclaim the streets and allow cafe and restaurants to set out chairs in the street for customers. No reason to have a blanket bans. End shock and Scare
@Keir_Starmer This is a global pandemic that needs a global co-ordinated response. Borders must have screening. City's must have screening. City and rural areas must be treated separately. Central imposed blanket policies, whilst effective, are not working properly.
@BBCNews What has happened to informative news coverage? It is clear that social distancing is easier outside of cities. Why not present the figures for urban areas divided by the population of the urban area. For countries, divide by the population of the country.
