@HannahAlOthman Is this about the Dartmoor National Park Authority proposals? There's a bunch of different groups representing people who use Dartmoor, and we're starting to organise coordinated responses to the proposals. DNPA seems open to talk,
@dartmoornpa With my family I am on Dartmoor almost every week, and the proposed changes removes one of the favourite wild camping spots of and my children. We have camped many times and experienced magical dawns, with the sun rising over valleys shrouded in mist.
@CCShaunSawyer @DC_Police And:
"(1) No person who lives in the Tier 4 area may leave or be outside of the place where they are living without reasonable excuse."
@CCShaunSawyer @DC_Police Read the legislation: "(2A) Where a relevant person considers that a person is outside the place where they are living in contravention of paragraph 1 of Schedule 3A, the relevant person may direct that person to return to the place where they are living."
@CCShaunSawyer @DC_Police Driving to exercise is *not* illegal. The legislation does not prohibit it. If you detain or fine people for just that, you will be exceeding your legal powers
@bt_uk@WeAreOpenreach@Plusnet In the meantime my family have been using mobile data and racking up costly data bills or hitting their data caps. The family has been forced to play scrabble on more than one evening! I now have a living room of teenagers who want conversation. So it's not all bad
@bt_uk@WeAreOpenreach@Plusnet Another long phone call with BT on 10th August told me that the order was cancelled and re-submitted as a split order. In fact I now have no order for broadband, just an order for a phone which may be connected early in September
@bt_uk@WeAreOpenreach@Plusnet Part way through the week starting 5th August our phone line briefly sprung to life and we received a spamming cold caller. A couple of days later it was dead again.
@bt_uk@WeAreOpenreach@Plusnet Since then I have had regular texts and emails from BT telling me that they do not know when I will be connected and mentioning a connection problem.
@bt_uk@WeAreOpenreach@Plusnet then signed up with BT. They told me that I was not registered on the Openreach network so a new connection was needed (and a charge of ยฃ59). They booked connection for 7th August. A BT engineer phoned me on 1st August to tell me that everything was ready for my connection.
@bt_uk@WeAreOpenreach@Plusnet More phone calls to Plusnet ensued. They agreed to restore fibre but after two weeks and multiple long phone calls (on a call on 30th July) admitted they were unable to do so and suggested that I switch to another provider. They agreed to cancel my contract back dated to 19 July.
@bt_uk@WeAreOpenreach@Plusnet I phoned Plusnet the following day, an engineer was sent the day after and my connection was restored with speeds of 0.02 (yes 0.02) to 0.5. The engineer told us that our fibre connection had been turned off so he swtiched us to ADSL.
@bt_uk@WeAreOpenreach@Plusnet Three weeks ago I had a working fibre connection (getting nearly 30Mbps to my home just outside Exeter) provided by Plusnet. On 17th July it stopped working - no internet connection.
