@BBCFarmingToday Alan Robins not up to date on elms in the city. For the last two years the council have been inoculating hundreds (maybe 5% of all Brightons elms) with a product called Dutch Trigg. This largely prevents the elm trees from catching Dutch Elm Disease.

@ChrisGiles_ What this analysis fails to point out is the clothing issue has actually impacted on both #CPI and #RPI. As CPI weights clothing more (7%vs 3%), its impact is greater on CPI despite difference in mean calcs. #inflationmatters
@ChrisGiles_@FinancialTimes Just to correct your "hazy understanding of inflation", #RPI is not usually 0.5% higher than #CPI#inflation. It has been about 0.75% higher since inception and this did not change post 2010 where it has remained at 0.75% on average. #inflationmatters
