We made this ad back in 2020. It's just as relevant today as Trump reheats his attacks on fairly elected Senators from Georgia Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.
The voices of old Georgia are back. We must reject them again.
Polite reminder. Trump & Brexit are not 2 different things. They are the same thing. Same companies. Same data. Same Facebook. Same Russians. Same Cambridge Analytica. Same Robert Mercer. Same Steve Bannon. Same Breitbart. Same Alexander Nix. Same Donald Trump. Same Nigel Farage.
@politico Notice the two denials don't actually answer the question. Blue Owl says it's just a landlord. The White House says Blue Owl has nothing to do with it. Neither one says who's paying for gas sold below wholesale at Blue Owl's own stations while Trump holds a stake in the company.
A company that didn't exist three weeks ago is selling gas fifty cents under market rate at twenty five Pennsylvania and New Jersey stations, and nobody involved will say who's paying for it.
Freedom Fuel Network incorporated in Delaware on June 23. Trump promoted it on Truth Social a week later, calling it the work of a mystery "VERY smart Retailer" who "loves the U.S.A." Fuel industry veterans, the people who'd actually know, say they've never heard of it and can't figure out how it survives selling below wholesale. At least seven of the participating stations are owned by Blue Owl affiliates. Trump disclosed last month that he holds more than five million dollars in Blue Owl stock.
Nobody has to prove a direct kickback here for this to matter. What we know for certain is a Delaware shell company sprang up days before a presidential promotion, slapped patriotic branding on gas stations partly owned by a company the president has a financial stake in, and is selling fuel at a loss nobody can explain, timed precisely to blunt cost of living anxiety before the midterms. The White House says there's no subsidy and no connection to Blue Owl. Maybe that's true. The appropriate response to "trust us" from this administration, on a financial question this specific, is to ask for the paperwork.
The fact that Paramount is big enough that they think a threat to boycott California would scare their AG into not suing to stop their merger…is not helpful in their argument that their market power post-merger won’t be a problem! https://t.co/HhPhKS4xt1
Hey South Carolina. With Lindsey Graham now out of the running, this could be your next Senator.
RIP Lindsey Graham.
Let’s move onto a younger, smarter, less Trump cultist candidate like @AnnieAndrewsMD
I enjoyed listening to @billmckibben on Ezra Klein's show this week. Its refreshing to hear a strong case for a future of clean energy abundance and highlight a lot of positive energy trends.
That being said, there are a few points where I'd add some nuance to Bill's arguments.
Sadly, this is not a joke: "The U.S. Global Change Research Program is now headed by Matthew Wielicki"
It's like putting a Flat Earther in charge of NASA.

Let’s not forget the permits blockade, which delayed low-cost clean energy projects, forcing electric grids to revert to expensive fossil units.
Costs went up for consumers, but those extra billions all went to Trump’s fossil fuel donors.

A majority of electricity generation in Colorado now comes from wind and solar generation! Was delighted to speak with @KUNC about this milestone. https://t.co/PF5mWlDYGN
“Over 200 major clean energy projects were canceled over the first year and a half of Trump’s term. A report says that’s left nearly half a million jobs on the table.” Trump’s clean energy attacks are costing the US jobs @CanaryMediaInc https://t.co/D5qkFLblO1 #energy#jobs
A clear indicator of where the future is going:
Our data for the OECD shows that wind and solar matched electricity generation from gas in April.
A lot has changed in recent years:
April 2019 to April 2026:
- Gas: 28% → 26%⬇️
- Wind and solar: 13% → 26%⬆️
Trump's Deranged Authoritarian Coup: Firing the FEC to Annihilate Democracy and Rig the 2026 Midterms
In a psychotic escalation straight out of a dictator's playbook, Donald Trump has now fired the three remaining members of the Federal Election Commission after his disgusting voter suppression bill, the SAVE Act, was rejected.
Drunk on power and protected by a spineless, corrupt Supreme Court that just handed him the keys to the kingdom, Trump has obliterated the last remaining guardrail against total electoral domination. The FEC — the independent agency that polices campaign finance and prevents outright cheating — is now gone. Destroyed. Neutralized.
This madman didn't get the laws he wanted to rig the game, so he simply eliminated the referees entirely.
With the 2026 midterms just 100 days away, Trump has removed every institutional obstacle standing between him and absolute control of the ballot box. This isn't politics anymore. This is a full-blown authoritarian takeover happening in real time.
He's not even pretending. This is a naked, shameless power grab by a deranged tyrant who sees democracy as nothing more than an annoying speed bump on his path to unchecked rule. Congress won't help him cheat? Fine — he'll fire the watchdogs. Courts won’t stop him? Even better.
America is now staring directly into the abyss. A rogue president has just dismantled the final firewall protecting free and fair elections, and the country is sleepwalking toward one of the darkest, most illegitimate election cycles in its history.
This is how democracies die — not with tanks in the streets, but with a smiling autocrat in a suit signing termination letters while the institutions meant to stop him cheer him on or cower in fear.
We are on the precipice — and this dangerous, unhinged madman is shoving us over the edge.
The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has been an accelerator for the energy transition I told @NPR.
In an uncertain world, many countries found that investing in renewables and EVs give them energy security – and makes economic sense.

The speed of the solar revolution is mindboggling!
When we met at climate talks in Copenhagen in 2009 we were all desperate. Many went home crying. We had failed to address the threat of global warming.
What noone even hinted at was that the price of solar energy would fall 90% in the years after.
This is what is driving the green transition now - the scale and speed and flexibility of solar energy.
Added price of wind energy has fallen nearly as much. Price of battery storage is sky diving. Water batteries is a great alternative.
Solar is meaningful as two panels at the roof of a hut, providing reading light for children. Or as mega plants like in China and India, bringing gigawatts of clean energy, the scale more like the ocean.
The is no doubt - solar is the energy of the 21st century.
