there’s nothing Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t go through in this life. The media scrutiny, rubbish teammates (few), Fake Fans and Contemporaries robbing him.

🚨 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥: Leo Messi won the 2010 Ballon d’Or despite scoring 0 goals at the 2010 World Cup. The argument then was that ONE month of international football shouldn’t outweigh NINE months of club football.
Now, in 2026, multiple reports have Messi as the Ballon d’Or favourite after Argentina’s World Cup run included Jordan, Cape Verde and Egypt.
Has the Ballon d’Or criteria changed, or only when it comes to Messi? 🤔
Reminds me of how in the aftermath of the Great Financial Crisis of 2008 where the whole world and their dog could see the banks and bankers that destroyed the global economy, the British authorities found a single Ghanaian UBS trader called Kweku Adoboli, hung the entire financial crisis on his neck (accused him of rigging LIBOR singlehandedly), gave him a 7-year prison sentence for doing the same thing that like 1,000 other bankers on Canary Wharf did, and then deported him from the UK after his sentence.
Literally nobody in the entire City of London went to jail for 2008 except one Ghanaian commodity trader😆😆😆
Weeks into the investigation of the deal, it emerged that Lagos had actually paid £274,000 for the fleet of buses that the Swedish seller had originally bought for just £12,069.
When the buses arrived in Lagos in October 1970, they were accompanied on the same ship by three cars, one Austin Cambridge and two Opel Rekords, reportedly to be delivered to two officials of the Lagos City Transport Service (LCTS) who negotiated the controversial deal.
New Nigerian also reported that the Nigerian lawyer and politician, Chief A.M.A. Akinloye, introduced the LCTS to the Swedish seller and was paid about £14,000 for his role in the transaction, a claim he denied.
Once the buses were deployed, Lagosians nicknamed them "Robirobi buses" (meaning: deal buses) and "Oku Eko" (meaning: Lagos corpse) because they broke down so frequently, often leaving passengers stranded.
The military state government defended the purchase, arguing that Lagos urgently needed more buses to ease the city's transport shortage and meet growing public demand for mass transit.

I hope you see how there is a hierarchy of competence in this world? Norway celebrates getting to the quarter finals. If France goes out in the semis, they’d consider this campaign a failure.
Know where you are in life at the moment and play accordingly. Don’t compare yourself to anyone.
Unrelated but old nollywood hits different because they weren’t trying to copy Western filmmaking they just reflected our society as it was, no need to overdo it.
@dolapocarter they also shaped perception as well which lowkey had western influences. Demonization of traditional worshipping, tribalism & family dynamics too
I’d argue that our poverty is why classism exists. Everyone knows we’re poor, so people spend too much time trying to prove they aren’t as poor as the next person.
