@Austen And it's been happening for so long that we have people graduating in this environment with the responsibility of the future.....
Idiocracy is not so far fetched. Take out the satire and it's happening now.
@Austen My eyes were already open but I wanted to mentor in high school to confirm.
It's so much worse.
So many negative feedback loops.
Still trying to determine causes. But the incentives result in 90% graduation rates and <39% knowledge. It's fucking sad.
I was in a discussion with an old friend when the "All billionaires are evil" came up.
I pushed back, obviously, cus it's a dumb thing to say and think.
She extended it to all millionaires...
Me: "My mom is a millionaire. You're saying she's evil just because she has a million? One of the most selfless women I know who has helped countless strangers. She's evil? You want to take away all her money she's worked her life for?"
Her: "Yeah, I guess my mom is a millionaire too technically. Okay, I'll stick with billionaires."
For the people that believe this, if you even question the statement, you're morally corrupt. All billionaires are evil is becoming a slogan that many people just accept without much thought.
I subscribed to FSD on Jan 14 for a cross-country drive and loved it. Huge reduction in stress and fatigue.
I thought I had cancelled when the trip ended, but I didn’t do it correctly and was renewed Feb 14. I called support within two days and hadn’t used it, but they said the TOS doesn’t allow refunds.
The rep I spoke with was kind and professional, and I appreciate that.
I’ll own my mistake, but it feels like the kind of situation where taking care of the customer would build enormous goodwill.
I asked that this feedback be passed along in case it helps future decisions.
Also, I would absolutely pay for a day-pass. If I have a 10–12 hour drive, $20–$30 would be a no-brainer.
Still a believer in the product.
Hey, thanks! I appreciate that!
It's not easy. The first 3 days are always the hardest.
I actually just traveled cross-country in my Tesla. So, in the first part of my trip, I booked a KOA with nothing around. I've found changing my environment like that really helps.
If you ever want to reach out, don't hesitate. And thanks again for the support.
