I’m often emotional at the finish line, but receiving my Ottawa Marathon medal from Dhanushka Wickramasinghe was very touching and moving. As a husband and father, I was heartbroken by his unimaginable loss. I am still fundraising to support this kind and inspiring man as he rebuilds his life. Watch this story to learn more. In light of today’s news, I am reposting the statement signed by 85 faith leaders from throughout our community. We must continue to work together to resist division, support each other as neighbours, prevent hatred and racism, and make Ottawa safe for all residents. Let’s all resolve to treat our neighbours with kindness and respect.

Help #Ottawa receive its fair share of provincial homelessness funding. Without it, permanent supportive housing for those on the street will have to be canceled. Support the @OttawaAlliance campaign to demand that Ottawa gets the funding it deserves: https://t.co/bBGrau23K5
