@JesseJenkins@kyrib It’s a $0.10 credit on each kWh consumed up the monthly baseline, eg., 100 kWh baseline = $10 credit. Once you exceed the baseline, you lose the credit and transfer to the higher rate. Baseline allowance is calculated to cover all essential cooking, heating, and lighting loads.
@xiaowang1984@BryceJohanneck@harphacker1 Got it. I’m recalling a utility that installed/ piloted smart inverters on rooftop solar along with other controls that would allow them to do freq regulation and other microgrid/ islanding of sections of the Dx grid. Trying to find the article…
@xiaowang1984@BryceJohanneck@harphacker1 Do you mean grid forming strictly for the distribution layer or DER installed within the Dx layer providing freq regulation to the transmission layer? Trying to understand the distinction. GMP is using resi batteries for frequency regulation with NE-ISO: https://t.co/s7Jd69coz2
@apoorv_bh89 So when I suggested this, you gave it a shrug, but when your new best friend chatgpt recommends it, it's the best thing since Faraday's discovery of electromagnetic induction.
@QuincyEdmundLee What is the added cost to the per station BOM? What’s the reliability/ durability of the screens? Eg. What’s the ongoing O&M for the screens (truck roll cost, etc.)?
@QuincyEdmundLee If the charging network is constantly monitored (as Tesla does) and the status of all stations are available via the car, what’s the purpose of a charger screen? Display price, speed, availability, etc?
@apoorv_bh89@BryceJohanneck@kyrib When are you getting the Sam Insull chest tattoo? Would be terrifying during a negotiation to have the silent judgement in those eyes unpack your soul
@GeorgeHagstrom Skinny seats post will be more compliant than thicker seat posts, which is also a proxy for weight. Also, the more seat post that is exposed ie., the shorter the seat tube is the more compliance a seat post has. I found this to be helpful: https://t.co/1HmVObfdOf
@apoorv_bh89 A passive aggressive AI to shame people into plugging in their cars so you can manage them. A la “Wow, Doug down the street plugs in every night & subscribes to every event. Seems like Doug actually cares. Might be another reason why your children like Doug more than you.”

@BoatDrinker@JesseJenkins@drvolts @PenCleanEnergy No. PCE energy prices are set/ approved by their board, who are elected officials from each of the member city's city councils. Customers can move between PG&E & PCE whenever they want so PCE is incentivized to keep prices low.
