@JustGusPD An interesting look would be the W-L record of the teams that move up 2 classes and those who move down two classes, and of the small schools that move up and win, how many of those are private schools.
@JustGusPD Appreciate the #’s dive! Respectfully, I’d be careful making absolute statements with sparse data - eg the last two years, none of the top 3 seeds played 1st round games, whereas the two years prior they did. Comparing MOV of 23+24 vs 25+26 with this bye dynamic is…spurious.
@jbarro Probably some selection bias - angriest are loud, satisfieds don’t go on about it. One important aspect is that it’s just like anything else - good people/orgs = positive experience and the opposite true, as well. Another is it depends on the kid and what they want outta sport.
@JustGusPD My seasonal post of disdain for this ridiculous @CIFNCS process that rewards large school mediocrity/punishes small school success. Playoffs should be peer vs. peer. The adjustment should focus on moneyed privates who recruit. It's all so dumb, and the kids are the ones who pay.
Yesterday I wrapped up my college baseball career as well as my playing career. I was reflecting on some things that I wish I knew coming into college or somethings that I would tell younger players interested in playing college baseball. So here they are in no particular order⬇️
While I’m rambling tonight, my group has a new (for us) product - puts on battery tolls, essentially. If you are a developer or offtaker and think this could be useful, hit me up.
Not revenue protection and we don’t want % of upside - covers the toll payment liability.
@clawrence@UziCryptoo OK I'm done. I cannot believe I put myself into another f'g regional living discussion - just the dumbest shit ever. I'm having another bourbon. fin/
@clawrence@UziCryptoo And lastly, yes, comparing Heights to Petaluma (45 min to SF) is a bit spurious, but edit/replace Heights with the Woodlands or Sugarland and it wasn't much different then.
