Soils are the 2nd largest carbon stock behind oceans. What we do with our soils has a huge impact on the CO2 in the atmosphere. Our 10 years of research on adaptive grazing, and our new doc series are finally ready to share. https://t.co/6trBAraVk8 - Elon gave us 1st funding…
Important to note that what happens on Earth’s surface (eg farming) has no meaningful impact on climate change.
Overwhelmingly, the risk of climate change is due to moving billions of tons of carbon from deep underground into the atmosphere.
Over time, if we keep doing this, the chemical makeup of our atmosphere will change enough to induce meaningful climate change.
The world lost a great man yesterday. The Crown family lost a great man yesterday. Goodbye Jim Crown. You are greatly missed. I’m cannot believe you are gone.
just finished the presentation and Q&A here in Edinburgh. I think it went well. Good crowd. Great questions. And the cool thing was I understood most of the accents!! @CarbonCowboys@SeanCasten @ffinlocostain #rootssodeep
Gonna present clips and data from our AMP grazing research this afternoon in Edinburgh. 4p. @CarbonCowboys @ffinlocostain https://t.co/rR0CsApZzW #rootssodeep
@BrowningEnviro - thanks for having me into your office this past week to yack about science and soil and farmers focused on nature! https://t.co/L6P9oMzZwx - #rootssodeep@CarbonCowboys - and for the excellent cuppa!!!
@andyroddick I just heard that caddies at the BelAir Country Club make four times the money than LA Unified teachers - the new teachers. I had great teachers in Louisville, KY - I am grateful for their guidance. And they are worth a lot more than they got paid.
And - besides the talks I’m giving on #rootssodeep - https://t.co/PnCU1CvnJp - I’ve discovered the best fish & chips I’ve ever had - #whatthefish. Celebrating our science team and amazing farmers is fun - so is eating well!!
I’m in London to celebrate our amazing science team and farmers in our brand new docu-series Roots So Deep (you can see the devil down there). That’s my cover for eating my way across town. Many visits to Maison Souss bakery. #rootsodeep#carboncowboys
My spatial heterogeneity paper is FINALLY out after 3 years of work!
We wanted to know how spatial heterogeneity (in crop + rangelands), sampling design, lab analysis (dry comb), & statistical analysis contribute to error in quantifying SOC sequestration

Now that DART has demonstrated that asteroid deflection is possible, finding near-Earth objects is even more important. The Planetary Society is a strong advocate for NEO Surveyor, a NASA mission that will look for asteroids in the area of Earth's orbit. (via @exploreplanets)
@TWilbert1979@DickieV@LouisvilleMBB Denny Crum’s first head coaching job? Louisville. Mark Few’s? Gonzaga. Kenny Payne is well ready to lead his Alma Mater!
