vulnerability isn’t weakness. vulnerability is authenticity and validation. it’s optimism that the storm passes. it’s normalization of seeking help not because you are broken but that you are having a human response to what is sometimes insane pressure

I used to poo poo the #feedback sandwich more, but I've modified my presentations on it. I don't think it's inherently bad, but it can miss the important stuff that makes feedback useful.
officially started as the neuro medical director for @themednet ! very excited to join a team with a shared dream to build a community-driven, comprehensive, expert-curated knowledge base that helps doctors in provide the best possible care to their patients
It's here!!!!
I am already loving the approach to Localization and Diagnostic testing by @peterjinmd - a really great framework approach, clutch for trainees and all those neurologists that still feel a little baffled by the peripheral NS (ie me 😂)
Awesome Cases coming soon!
I couldn’t make it to AAN this year but it gave me the opportunity to work towards my CliftonStrengths certification with their Successful Strengths Coaching course. Should have done this years ago :)
feeling inspired after @UMmedschool MELA spring education day … so many ideas … trying to write them all down so a future self can capitalize :)
always surprises me how little i know about the #meded work happening in my own neighborhood
Congrats to our APD @peterjinmd on his ABPN Faculty Innovation in Education Award for 2023-24! This award supports projects that promote effective residency/fellowship training or lifelong learning of practicing psychiatrists and neurologists.
🚨PGY2 Opening for July 2023🚨
We have an unexpected opening for a PGY2 position in our Adult Neurology residency program starting this July. You must have already completed or be currently completing a PGY1 year in medical education to be eligible.
peroneal neuropathy or fibular neuropathy?
fibular neuropathy at the fibular head?
superficial peroneal nerve innervates the fibularis longus?
i would say IFKYK … but i don’t 🤷🏻♂️
once did an LP to justify ivig for cidp. @CareFirst said i couldn’t prove it wasn’t DM PN without it. had NCS with multiple segmental CV in the 20s m/s, temporal dispersion, and block. im sure the p2p reviewer understood those words.
circle all things wrong with this picture 🫠
i really love doing these case based discussion #meded workshops. they’re always a little different and the discussions can go in so many directions depending on the group :)
We at Modern Medical School we do not rank our students but instead assign them discreet coded adjectives for low effort holistic review pandering and to occasionally pull a fast one on sleepy application reviewers
@zach_london For hearing an omni or conference mic is key. Best ones are the conference table phones that can be "call in" to a web meeting but they are expensive. Should be able to capture audio from both speaker and attendees in a classroom / conference room.
I love this quote from Dr Liz Armstrong: "A good course changes the way you think; a great course changes who you are." It is a perfect description of the #hmieducators course!
