On Memorial Day, we pause to honor the courageous Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. We remember the fallen, stand with our Gold Star Families, and give thanks for the heroes whose bravery secured the freedoms we cherish today.
Their legacy will never be forgotten.
In 2024, the FAFSA rollout fell to just 46% nationwide completion 👀
In 2025, completion improved to 53.9%.
Today, the Class of 2026 has already set an all-time completion record at 54.7%, with just weeks remaining until June 30 and a chance to break a 60% nationwide completion rate.
Momentum is rising across the country. Every state is now ahead of last year’s pace, with Florida, Arizona, Alaska, and New Mexico seeing major jumps in completions. Texas, California, New York, and Illinois, have already crossed the 60% mark.
What changed?
The FAFSA cycle launched on time, with earlier access and fewer technical barriers. The application process became faster, smoother, and simpler. Instant identity verification reduced delays, fewer screens and fields streamlined the experience, and ongoing system fixes and performance improvements helped eliminate barriers for students and families.
Students and families notice the difference. America notices the difference 🇺🇸
