BBC News, "What happened to the 20 recommendations from the child abuse inquiry that were given to the Conservative government?"
Sarah Champion, "Nothing happened"
BBC News, "Why is Chris Philp sounding so exasperated when he was part of the last gov?"
Sarah Champion, "One can only assume he's in opposition now and is trying to make a political point out of this, which I find distasteful"
"We ought to be angry at the victims and survivors who has been let down"
I've posted here a thread with links to the independent inquiry reports from Rotherham, Rochdale, Telford, and Oldham, and the report from the Jay public inquiry into child sexual abuse. The Tory govt acted on NONE of them.
Let's blame the right people, shall we?
“I think there are two ways in which people are controlled. First of all frighten people and secondly, demoralise them…An educated, healthy and confident nation is harder to govern.”
~ Tony Benn

An urgent humanitarian appeal to save the child Jihad Baraka, a 7-month-old baby who has been suffering since birth from ichthyosis, a rare disease that covers his entire body and exacerbates his daily suffering.
The child urgently needs essential treatments and creams that are unfortunately unavailable in the region. We appeal to the concerned authorities and kind-hearted individuals to help provide the necessary treatment to alleviate his suffering and give this child a chance for a better life.
