@RnaudBertrand A chunk of the drop is Brexitanother, the incredible Chinese growth, which is hardly replicable elsewhere, certainly not in established economies. Of course, compared to US they look an econ basket case but so does most of the developed world….& I expect stateside will pop soon?

@matt_horncastle I’d be open to more Govt involvement in Banking, but this BNZ idea looks like an expensive folly.
What could really change the NZ Banking game would be adopting the US Fannie May & Freddie Mac model, a Federal body that ensures affordable long-term fixed rate mortgages.
