Detroit Lions star Jahmyr Gibbs overcame a difficult upbringing in Dalton, Georgia, before rising to the NFL.
As a teenager, Gibbs was taken in by Greg and Dusty Ross, who became his adoptive parents, while his grandmother, Angela Willis, also played a major role in helping raise him.
Those close to Gibbs have long described him as quiet, grounded, and deeply driven — traits that showed up long before he became one of the NFL’s most explosive young stars.

“your 20s are for—“ enough my 20s are for rediscovering all of my interests from 6th grade and realizing that actually 12 year old me was kinda onto something
for my $ the greatest no-look pass in history
especially considering the stakes:
- losing in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl
- game in the balance
- got to have it
Bell needed to be moved, baited him w the eyes 👀, hitch 🎣
and the PERFECT pass
this game was so wild
Dak incredibly escaped the safety to throw a 92-yard TD off one foot…
and then the Lions end of game 2-point fiasco with the ref show
Twitter was on fire that night 🔥🔥
