petiglyph is a tool i built to easily turn images and videos into custom font glyphs, static or animated, for your TUIs!
for example, if you wanted a twerking amogus in the terminal for some reason, now you can!
available on github, npm, pypi, AUR

trying to debug Windows cmd/powershell terminal quircks for my TUI app makes me plead God that the Microsoft engineers will just set this OS on fire and rebuild it from the ground up as a linux distro or something, this is truly horrible
WSL is the way i guess
the fact that gpt-5.5 eats so much more usage than gpt-5.3-codex makes the UX very bad on subscriptions right now
@sama@thsottiaux
just give us a specialized model for coding similar to 5.3-codex (not a mini) that is cheap to run for you and we'll be good!
GPT-5.3-Codex is retired from Codex
i was literally using it like crazy yesterday thinking about how solid and cheap of a model it was
OpenAI has not had a bad move in months for coders, but this is one
Artificial Analysis does not provide the stats for 5.3-codex other than xhigh, so we won't know for sure benchmark-wise how 5.3-codex medium compares to 5.4 mini medium
so my opinion on it is only based on vibes
@thsottiaux@OpenAI where is my 5.3-Codex inside Codex CLI????
You guys have NOT shipped a model that is both as cheap and skilled at terminal-based agentic coding since 5.3-codex! You cannot retire it like that without shipping a new model that fits the same role! Come on!
and for 5.3-codex VS 5.4 mini, i'm not fully trusting the benchmarks here because of the weak vibes I got from 5.4 mini the last time i used it in the terminal, especially when you drop the reasoning level to high or medium
5.3-codex medium feels solid
5.4 mini medium feels weak
