The umamusume fandom has a huge problem where they treat the irl horses as if they are actually humans..calling them frauds and saying there "yanderes" like no they run and go neigh
To all our overseas fans who love Uma Musume: This story is based on a true story.
This is the story of the generation of Special Week, El Condor Pasa, and Grass Wonder, who were said to be the strongest generation in history.
This era was a turning point for Japanese horse racing.
While Japanese racehorses are now considered among the best in the world, back then, it was not easy for Japanese horses to win not only overseas G1 races, but even their own Japan Cup.
In this context, this era was incredibly exciting, almost like something out of a comic book. Examples include the rise of El Condor Pasa, who was said to have the first chance to win the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe as a Japanese horse, and the clash between Special Week and Grass Wonder, who were considered among the greatest champions of all time.
Furthermore, in the years when they were particularly successful, there was a huge division of opinion regarding whether to award the Japanese Horse of the Year title to Special Week, Grass Wonder, or El Condor Pasa.
While the Horse of the Year is usually decided by a single vote, the votes were split among these three horses, resulting in the only re-voting in history.
The era in which they were active was truly captivating.
I remember being a big fan of Glass Wonder back then, and wishing that their wonderful story would one day be turned into a manga or something similar so that many people could hear it.
Of course, I never thought that would actually happen.
Now, more than 20 years later, that dream has come true, and I'm truly thrilled that people overseas are enjoying it too.
Please, do enjoy the story of these girls, who were called the strongest generation! 🙇
