@DevinOlsenn What's really annoying is you can "coach" FSD in other ways. Change lanes without disengaging with turn signals. Accelerator speeds up but doesn't disengage. But there's no way to say "hey, slow down a bit" without completely taking over.
@SawyerMerritt The full stop is fine. It's the gradual deceleration and acceleration plus the "double stop" if visibility is limited that delays traffic. Come to a full stop quickly, look, and get on with it!
@nut_history *Make a great play -- act like you've done it before... Hit a home run -- put your head down, drop the bat, run around the bases, because the name on the front is more important than the name on the back" -- Ryne Sandberg, HoF
@beherleader It's a good letter but it must be the icing on the cake. The cake itself is 18+ years of teaching by example. Kids are always watching and learning even when it seems like they aren't.
It is not double jeopardy as the jury deadlocked on these two counts and did not return a verdict. Had they returned a verdict of "not guilty" it would trigger double jeopardy. No verdict is basically like the trial never happened.
It is, however, a huge waste of time and money. Free Roman!
Defense wins championships. Everyone knows this.
And yet for far too many in software, things like security and quality are afterthoughts.
"But it's boring"
No. Consistently winning is never boring.
@Frio_river@MarioNawfal From that driver's perspective: clear day, light traffic, relaxed. Then a truck in the right lane suddenly veers across all three lanes. There's about 1.5 seconds until impact. The human brain just doesn't react and process complex options that fast from a normal state.
@CupOJoseph@vrycmfy Oddly poetic that we were "one nation, indivisible" until religion got inserted into the pledge in 1954.
Religion brings great comfort and wisdom to a lot of people but it has to be the most divisive concept in all of human history.
@Nebraskangooner Every lawn geek needs a Rachio controller with an Everydrop meter attached so the controller can verify the expected amount of water is flowing to each zone when it runs.
@theragetech@drjasper_eth This guy is considered an "expert witness" by the court, right?
And probably no one on the jury understands the problems with this π
@MarioNawfal@RandPaul The political will to do anything about the deficit simply doesn't exist. Unfortunately, it's going to require much much more economic pain (inflation or default) with the amount of financial literacy amongst voters. Buckle up.
@AutismCapital The first shockwave of the 2008 Great Financial Crisis. People could sense things were getting worse but didn't understand why. "People who look different" are always a popular scapegoat.
@evan_van_ness There's too much invested in Bitcoin to let it die to a 51% attack in its current form. It will become a mostly centralized gatekept network controlled by the largest BTC custodians (ETF issuers, banks, governments, and Blockstream).
Maxis will embrace this as long as NGU.
@DudespostingWs Good time to learn the first 80% is the easy part and takes 20% (or less) of the time. The manager likely learned this a long time ago and may have a very different expectation of "done"
