"Normalization" with Russia is a big topic around the world, so here's where my party stands when it comes to Georgia's ties with Russia.

Georgia broke off all diplomatic ties with Russia in 2008 following the invasion, when we were in power. But we believe in diplomacy and peace and we hope that one day, freedom will prevail and Russia will end its imperialism towards the South Caucasus.

For any normalization to happen, here's what we want to see:
🔻Revocation of Russia's recognition of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali
🔻Withdrawal of all Russian military forces present in the occupied territories in violation of the 1992 and 1993 Sochi Agreements, the 1994 Moscow Agreement, and the 2008 Ceasefire Agreement
🔻End of all hostile intelligence operations aimed at spreading disinformation and destabilization in Georgia
🔻No more interference in domestic political affairs, including by supporting oligarchs and authoritarian forces
🔻Lifting of its veto on Georgia's NATO and EU memberships.

None of that is unreasonable.

The Memorandum is vague specifically for that reason. It gave Ukraine security assurances, the most minimum understanding of which being no invasion. Signatories have a moral obligation to help Ukraine when one of the signatories (Russia) violated the agreement so overtly, especially considering it was London that pressured Ukraine to give up its nukes.

Egypt rejected three proposals regarding Gaza, all of which included displacement and no right of return.

Egypt has sent multiple responses to Trump’s plan concerning Gaza over the past few days.
