PetSmart Yorkville joins our growing union as we continue to fight for fair pay, consistent hours, increased animal care, and transparent communication with management.
They’re unionizing to give their associates a voice in improving the company.
On February 17th, our coworkers at Yorkville, IL announced that they’re starting a union!
Next, on March 25th, they will vote to officially join our nationwide movement.
These associates know we all deserve better and more equitable working conditions.
Since the restructure, many PetSmart workers have been experiencing serious challenges on the job, including disrespect from management, unexpected changes to their positions, and the loss of key benefits.
This survey is an opportunity for you to speak out about the issues you’re facing and share how they've impacted you. Your feedback is important, not just to understand what’s happening in your store, but to help identify the improvements you and your coworkers want to see.

Getting more associates plugged into our union is the best way for us to establish a strong safety net and make sure the company can’t keep pulling the rug out from underneath us moving forward!
No one says it better than King Doobert: people who work for a living deserve to make a living! The message is clear, and that’s why we’re unionizing: So we have the power to call on PetSmart to start paying their workers a fair wage.
Colorado is suing PetSmart for using dog grooming school to ‘trap’ workers.
PetSmart ads claimed that its grooming academy was free. In reality, it cost up to $5,500.
The company held these costs over workers' heads, using the money to coerce them into staying at the job.
@MorePerfectUS Thanks for spreading the word! We're fighting hard to hold PetSmart accountable for this kind of manipulative behavior, and we'll have more to share about this story and how it's impacting PetSmart groomers and associates soon.
We think it’s time for PetSmart to quit horsing around, take accountability, and give associates the fair pay and benefits they deserve. Stand strong with associates by signing our petition at https://t.co/IAuH6Pxw1j
