Good morning. Presented for the timeline’s approval, I would like to kindly request that we shift the discourse today from debating Babyface to slandering Boyz II Men. Let’s end this week with a bang.
That JCPenny catalog was everything back in the 90s! Especially the electronics section. Definitely ordered my pager from there!

Coco Jones tapped streetwear pioneer Karl Kani to design her custom Super Bowl 2026 outfit for her performance of Lift Every Voice and Sing.
Inspired by Whitney Houston’s iconic 1991 Super Bowl look, the moment was reimagined as a cultural remix that honors the past while remaining fashion-forward. Kani transformed Houston’s tracksuit into high glamour: a mini bubble skirt with a sweeping train and cropped jacket.
“I’m overwhelmed,” Kani tells ESSENCE exclusively. “They could have gone to any designer in the world—Gucci, Fendi, Prada. But they came to Karl Kani.”

Blackberry dumplings are a traditional, sweet, and rustic dish deeply rooted in southern Black American food culture, often served as a summertime dessert.
Originating from the need to use foraged wild blackberries, this one-pot meal features soft dumplings simmered in a sweetened, thickened blackberry syrup. The dish is typically made by boiling berries with water, sugar, and lemon juice, then dropping spoon-sized, simple dough balls (flour, baking powder, milk, sugar) into the mixture, covered for 15-20 minutes.
