Watch #Sunrise_III’s unique research flight in the #stratosphere as seen by the onboard cameras provided by the #IRIS-2 project. Includes launch and landing! https://t.co/KThu3nSm5o
Making progress! While members of the #Sunrise_III team from @MPSGoettingen are preparing the telescope under the clean tent for the next flight, the gondola is also beginning to take shape.

Thanks to the whole team and #AkinemaGoettingen for making this possible. https://t.co/OGDvFYOY3e
With the hardware securely packed onto trucks, #Sunrise_III today embarked on its trip to the launch site at #EsrangeSpaceCenter in #Kiruna, Sweden. The onset of winter at @MPSGoettingen gave a taste of what to expect at the Arctic Circle. @SSCSpace

Gondola meets payload: Carefully and with the help of many hands, #Sunrise_III’s #telescope and scientific instruments are lifted into their position in the partly assembled gondola in the balloon hall at @MPSGoettingen. @JHUAPL
While colleagues from @JHUAPL are assembling the #Sunrise_III gondola in the balloon hall at @MPSGoettingen, the telescope is undergoing last tests before integration into the gondola. During flight it has to be able to remain in any given tilted position to point at the Sun.
