@NathanWatkinsJr I already did for the Mrs. Her machine is a 2009 13" MBP where I swapped the optical drive for a 1TB HDD. It also doubles as a space heater.

I'm excited to use Big Sur for work, but can't risk it.

lots of people talking about avoiding 1st gen Apple Silicon bc historically 1st gen Macs have had hardware bugs. but the same doesn't seem to be true for iOS devices.

I would have no hesitation to buy a new mac with Apple Silicon on day one.

@TheMiniPlayer somehow Refresh Library is stuck at the same spot for the past few days. tried removing the workflow and resetting Alfred's application cache to clear it out and start from scratch but that didn't do anything.

Any ideas?
