@wessexwildlife@LBFlyawayhome I remember conversations after church about coffee mate in the 70s. Cold milk rather than Coffee Mate was worse than any heresy!
It is very important for all of us to remember that telling an abuse story, facing the truth, and expressing the deep and painful emotions that keep company with trauma takes tremendous courage.
So often, rather than suffer involvement with messy injustices and corrupt systems, we choose the quiet/easy way, and sin against Justice himself rather than allow the suffering of others and the injustices they live with daily to alter our schedules, comfort level, & tidy lives.
@AnnetteBellyou@LBFlyawayhome They are about thesize of my mother’s eclair tin although later she piped the straight onto a baking sheet and often made mini eclairs and I could eat more!
Great talk on #clergy wellbeing from @LizGraveling at the @ClergySupportUK AGM. Highlighting four challenges impacting the wellbeing of clergy: exhaustion, isolation, demoralisation (eg not hitting centrally-set growth targets) and financial stress caused by inadequate stipends.
Abuse of any kind comes from the heart of the person who abuses. It is not due to the victim’s behavior, clothing, wrongdoing, or anything else - the perpetrator is exposing the contents of their own heart and mind - their actions speak about them and them alone.
@LBFlyawayhome Sewing my Binca table mat caused the first of many arguments with sewing teachers throughout my school career. It is still slightly triggering to see Binca but I defied them all and still sew! The “Binca Incident” led to the resignation of the teacher. 😬
Drawing: Possible causes of your problems. I've been appalled at the scenes we've witnessed over the last few days. It's utterly unacceptable that people should have to live in fear because of the colour of their skin.

Responding to systemic abuse begins with facing the truth. Jesus lived as part of a dominated group of people under a pervasive system of government. All the religious systems were corrupt. They dehumanized people, isolated & excluded people, & crushed people with heavy burdens.
@KingCrawa@DrFrancisYoung I was your DDO but you are not an ordinand so I can no longer direct you unless presumably you become a bishop ordinand which I think is a thing! Check the ordinal! The Director of M&M could be lay or from another denomination if I recall the advert correctly.
@scopestake I usually use what I am in whatever activity I am doing. In these cases I am Mrs except with a slip of a finger when booking on Eurostar and I became Lord Pamela Ive!
I don’t know whether polling stations are like children - and you’re not supposed to have favourites - but this is definitely one of mine - Arnold Cooke Hall in Tudely, right next to All Saints Church with its Chagall windows. #GE24
