Georgian opposition leader Elene Khoshtaria is jailed for writing “Russian Dream” on a campaign banner – a symbolic protest turned into 18 months in prison in a political show trial. Her health has seriously deteriorated. The EU governments must actively pressure Georgia for her immediate release and proper medical care. #FreeKhoshtaria #Georgia

@Helenkhosh sent a message of appreciation to the public for their support amid the Georgian Dream’s failure/refusal to provide her with adequate medical treatment.
Full statement, June 17:
“Friends, first of all, thank you so much for your support, but please don't worry about me. I am ready for much more in the fight against the Russians. Obviously, I do not intend for a single second to enter into any discussion with the illegitimate Russian institutions, or to prove anything to them, and especially not to ask them for anything—let them do whatever they want.
The pain is bearable; the evil is unbearable. I am neither the first nor the last, but I promise them one thing: I will not let a single illegality slide, and it will cost them!
