When they published this document billions of people had already received mRNA Covid injectables.

Because of the novelty of this product type, numerous issues are addressed below which may be relevant to any given mRNA vaccine. However, there may also be future additional concerns that come to light…” (p. 132)

Biodistribution & persistence:

“Biodistribution and persistence: developing a database of evidence about this potential concern … Nonclinical studies that address whether the mRNA and the LNPs … distribute away from the tissue … into which tissues they distribute and how long they persist may be expected by the NRA.” (p. 133)

Inflammation & toxicities:

“Inflammation: RNA is inflammatory via a number of pathways … it will be important to monitor for both systemic and local toxicity and inflammatory responses.” (p. 133)

“Unexpected and serious toxicities from modified nucleosides: some … have caused mitochondrial toxicities, resulting in myopathy, polyneuropathy, lactic acidosis, liver steatosis, pancreatitis, lipodystrophy and even fatality … careful consideration will need to be given…” (p. 133–134)
