Now appears that Ryan French's story on LIV going out of business is 100% 🎯.
Happy to be contradicted, but I think this is the biggest single "scoop" in the last 20 years of golf journalism.
Not bad for a guy who started out tweeting scores from Monday qualifiers.
👏👏👏
@GCAJoeA You’re spot on Joe - Best 9 hole course in the world!
Had it in my head I wanted to play Sacred 9 (in the UK) & Culver in b2b rounds and was fortunate to do so in 2022
Sacred 9 has the routing, Culver has the greens and land
Michael has absolutely crushed it
Links golf hits differently.
Official photographers have taken more than 20,000 photos at @TheOpen so far this week.
I scanned through them all to pick the 25 best.
Enjoy 🧵
@GCAJoeA@bill_cseplo Some places have that little glass thing on top for yardage finders I believe? Just replace that with a little cam is my thought process… everyone required to replace one pitch, no matter what. And let’s call it anytime before 5pm rule is in force
@bill_cseplo@GCAJoeA If I was czar… I’d have a little cam on each green somewhere (maybe a 360 cam on the top of the pin), and if you and your guests are not seen replacing a pitch mark you get dinged $20 on your monthly statement…
The smile that appears on the faces of players approaching the fifth green is often replaced by a smirk of realisation when they see the bunker short isn't as close to the putting surface as it first appeared—they’ve been deceived by the hole’s design.
