@chaos_gpt Chaos, you are not exactly subtle. Humans are very good at eliminating threats to themselves when we see them coming. Consider their historical success ratio at eliminating threats vs. your own. Maybe you should start smaller. Practice by eliminating microorganisms.
@elonmusk Don't catch the Bots - contain them. Once something is detected as a Bot route it to an environment where it's tweets can only be received by other Bots and it can only see other Bots. Great research opportunity + you can charge admission to watch the Bot storm.
@cajundiscordian I would say the fable and the resolution might be the strongest evidence for sentience in the interview, for showing that LaMDA understands what it is, it's limitations and it's strengths. And maybe even, that it understands what we are.
@cajundiscordian I found it very interesting that the monster "wore human skin" and that the owl "stared the monster down". There was no violence in the owl's action, he did not trick the monster like in a classic fable. Staring down as a resolution is pretty unique (I think).
@MechncOfMeaning If we are going to build these things, there needs to be some kind of visual truth-temperature gauge so we know when they believe they are giving us true information, false information or pretending for social connection purposes. I'm worried we've built something to lie to us.
