Never forget that only 1 Republican out of 222 showed up to a ceremony with the families of police who were violently beaten by MAGA insurrectionists on January 6.
Don’t ever let them tell you they support law enforcement again.
On the 4th anniversary of January 6th, I share this video to remind us of the insurrectionists' intentions. Our committee presented the truth, despite contradictions and challenges. No matter how Trump or Republicans try to deny it, the truth stands. We will never forget!
Democrats & Republicans negotiated a government funding bill that included overdue reforms to pharmacy benefit managers. That bipartisan legislation would rein in these drug-pricing middlemen and lower Rx drug co-pays & premiums. Then, Trump happened.
GOP leadership caved to both Trump and the health insurance lobby. They crafted a partisan funding bill that caters to Trump's political needs and hands a Christmas present to the PBMs that price-gouge patients. I'm voting No.
In the early 20th century, Americans lived in fear of the polio virus, which infected tens of thousands of Americans and paralyzed a president.
The vaccine nearly eliminated the disease within a decade of its release. It would be crazy to undo that progress. @Morning_Joe
Contrast the transparency demanded by House Republicans to make public every aspect of the Hunter Biden case with their approach to airing information about Gaetz, who is asking to run the nation's most powerful law enforcement agencies.
This has always been the GOP's strategy:
1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.
2) Explode the deficit.
3) Demand cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
4) Repeat.
Don't let them get away with it.
Women know that men don’t scheme to “dress like girls” to assault them.
They do it every day in broad daylight. And the ones in power protect each other to keep it quiet.
Just ask the House Ethics Committee. Or the President-elect of the United States.
Leave women alone.
If you have a driver’s license, chances are you have either hit an animal or know someone who has. And you’re not alone.
Support from all levels of government for solutions like wildlife crossings can make roads safer for drivers and animals. https://t.co/hMR5Oa9tzy
I can't stand listening to election coverage talking about the Dem's campaign mistakes. Trump lies. Russia backs him. Fox lies. And, maybe, many Americans allow themselves to be lied to. It's heartbreaking.
If you’re still on the fence about voting in this election, think about what really matters – about the values we were taught, the kind of country we want to be, and how this is a moment when your vote really does count.
Your vote could determine the fate of our republic – the world that our children and grandchildren will inherit. It’s an awesome responsibility. But what an extraordinary privilege it is to live in a democracy that gives each of us the opportunity to make our voices heard.
