It is so heart warming to see @annelieseDodds standing up for the people and countries she signed up to work with. I fully support the statements she made in her resignation letter and live in hope that we (UK)will again see the importance of our ODA work in global relationships.
It is with sadness that I have had to tender my resignation as Minister for International Development and for Women and Equalities.
While I disagree with the ODA decision, I continue to support the government and its determination to deliver the change our country needs.
Congratulations @StacyClemes for this well deserved special recognition award. You have made so much difference to our @LboroSSEHS doctoral researchers. Thank you 🤩
A fantastic evening at the @lborouniversity PhD Awards with @LboroSSEHS colleagues. Very honoured and moved to have been awarded the Doctoral College Special Recognition Award! Thank you for your very kind words @ChristieSteve. @LboroDocCollege
Likely the most deserving ever winner of an @lborouniversity medal. Sandra & her team mate Sheila were amazing to me in my 1st office in Wavy Top. They helped me settle and always had friendly words for me. Lboro's silent heroes 🥳. Such an inspiration. Here is my ovation 👏
It was a total privilege to watch Sandra collect her University Medal yesterday, with an ovation not even 1/3 of the way through @RichardTaylor_’s oration. What an incredible woman & what a truly outstanding contribution to @lborouniversity. 🤩 #LboroGrad

It was an honour for me to watch so many wonderful @LboroSSEHS doctoral researchers walk across the stage to receive their certificates from @Stacyclemes this morning and to be a proud supervisor to Damith and Joshua.
It was an honour presenting our @LboroSSEHS Doctoral Researcher graduates with their degree certificates this morning! I didn’t catch everyone unfortunately, but here are a few of our amazing PhD graduates and some proud supervisors @LboroDocCollege@lborouniversity

Prof Du Plessis title for her @LboroIAS seminar to break free, grow tall and reach far is very pertinent to solving the problem of stunting in South Africa
Just listening to Prof Du Plessis from @StellenboschUni visiting @lborouniversity @LboroIAS talking about stunting (low height for age) in children from South Africa and the need for multi disciplinary solutions to the problem.
What an amazing week visiting from @lborouniversity at @aphrc working in partnership with inspiring colleagues and stakeholders led by @lizkimani to evolve our @NIHRglobal groups application. Amazing discussions revealing the complexity and importance of the issue. Thank you 🤩.
Posting late for #WorldEnvironmentDay as have had no internet. I met the inspirational Johnson (an ex street boy turned environmental rapper) and his bird Rogers at a tree planting ceremony at @Aphrc when visiting @Liz_Kimani for a grant writing workshop from @lborouniversity.
Being part of the launch of this project from @lborouniversity hosted by @aphrc amidst the record flooding in Kenya emphasizes the urgent need for the work.
Warm welcome for project as devastating rains chill Kenyans: “We need the results now” https://t.co/nLfQWHOhs8
Up 2nd in the #lboroInaugural is @bedform with a hard act to follow. It is clear his love of rocks come from his childhood spent in North Wales. I am learning lots about how Bedford relates to rocks…
Listening to #lboroinaugural lecture from @KsChmutina on disaster risk production or disaster risk reduction introduced by @LboroVC. Enjoying the 3 little pigs e.g. where the wolf is less the problem than the poor structures the pigs lived in. Rings true to the real world..
A big welcome @ governor’s office in Laikaipia. @aphrc organised introductory visit. We were delighted the governor’s office are so supportive and look forward to working with the county. This project is at the heart of @LboroVC led strategy to create better futures together.
Proud to be here from @lborouniversity with @Liz_Kimani from @aphrc who is the amazing leader of the visibilize4climatechange project funded by @wellcometrust launching in Nairobi. The time is right for this work with nearly 200 deaths from floods recorded in Kenya this week.
For the last 2 days I have been travelling from @lborouniversity in Laikaipia County Kenya with @aphrc meeting with inspiring farmers supported by @icraf and local organisations to create food forests that improve food security.
