@kkchris98@AnnaKareninaCTS People tend to be more focused on their IG post: what to caption, best lighting and pose...rather than the actual moment itself #1102girlhood
@kkchris98@AnnaKareninaCTS OMG soooo true. Its kinda like the question: would you rather bask in the moment or capture it? And I think nowadays with technology being a big part of our lives, we forget to really enjoy moments. #1102girlhood
@JanellTanner19 If you want to edit by hand, you could always print what you have and mark it with a pen, and then go back to typing. I find it helpful to physically scratch things out sometimes. #1102girlhood
@mary_zuidema You were so engaging, it felt like 5 seconds!! I loved how you mentioned dissonance as a positive thing! Dissonance gives me chills in the best way and you did a great job pulling it off :) #1102girlhood
@adiraagt OMG I LOLed when abuealita said this. It reminded me of what the teenager said in the podcast we listened to a little while ago "how to party." Im glad they glammed her up in something she was more comfortable wearing #1102girlhood
I enjoy how One Day at a Time balances humor with serious topics such as family and LGTQ. I think it makes the show easier to watch and admire the family for always making light out of situations. #1102girlhood
@katie_eng1102 I also got very emotional! Lupita reminds me a lot of my own mom...very supportive, protective, and (of course) hilarious. #1102girlhood
I found it interesting that even after the storyline was leaked before this episode was aired, the producers still stuck with the storyline because they felt like it was something important to include and make viewers aware of. #1102girlhood

Here's a clip from a show I watched with my mom over summer. Its of Mary Queen of Scotts coming to terms with getting raped and how she must deal with what happened as a queen. https://t.co/cZ2EEE5ncF #1102girlhood
@kkchris98 I totally feel this. Weird how girls who wear a lot of makeup are known as "confident" but in reality, they are hiding what they truly look like and are probably the most self-conscious. #1102girlhood
Excited to go to sorority chapter tomorrow night, for we will be discussing something so important and close to our sorority values. Evidence that the sweet vicious portrayed sororities quite differently. #SRAT#1102girlhood
@CaseyAlane @heejoo_jin OMG I AM FANGIRLING!! These are some of my favorite shows. My roommate and I binged watched the good place during hurricane irma LOL. #1102girlhood
"All these girls walk around in tight skirts asking for it and you screw them for it, they get mad" -Nate Griffin
I didn't realize clothes counted as sexual consent. #1102girlhood
@heejoo_jin LOL I know what you mean, but is just common in asian families because like Mei's parents, they want to hold onto their culture and traditional values. I feel like asian countries are still struggling with patriarchy. #1102girlhood
Even though my parents aren't as extreme, I see a lot of similarities between her family dynamics and mine. My parents are very attached and clingy. In high school, I always had a ridiculous curfew and getting a B was unacceptable. #1102girlhood
I find it really interesting how they portrayed sororities. As a member in a sorority, we are constantly reminded how to deal with another sister who confides in you especially about sexual assault and the most important thing is to believe and listen. #1102girlhood
@profound_teen I don't think she knew what else to do. Its not that she wanted to lie but she was afraid of how others would react especially because the person who she was honest with (the counselor) accused her of being mistaken of what happened rather than listening. #1102girlhood
Also, like Mei, I have an older brother who has gone through the his teenage years with my parents before I did, and he lightened them up and often times gave me advice on how to talk to them and why they did things that they did #1102girlhood
Now that I'm in college my parents are more hands-off, but my mom calls me everyday and for the first week, she was extremely paranoid and sounded very similar to Mei's mom. #1102girlhood
