@Mark77290516 @CabreraAngel Go home. Don’t risk your health over the wishy-washiness of USG. They’re going to be forced to go online in 2 weeks anyways because the situation in GA will only get worse.

@MailChimp Hi! I'm doing a budgeting assignment for school. I'm suppose to be working at MailChimp and have to factor in parking expenses at work. Does MailChimp offer its employees free parking? Or how much do your employees pay per month on average for a parking spot? Thanks!

I think part of the reason that we have more satisfying teen girls as main characters in books is due to the rise of female authors. This is why diversity matters in writing. Well-written and realistic portrayals of women are important. #1102girlhood

Today's discussion in class made me think about how diverse and complex teenage girl characters are in books these days. They're leaders, strong, confident, skilled, and brave. Yet also sometimes confused, conflicted, and scared. They're rich characters. #1102girlhood

[Ling T @ling45678]

I also really enjoyed interacting with all my classmates on Twitter. Things that we normally don't have time for in class can be brought up on Twitter. Your insights, discussions, and memes have been great! #1102girlhood

Our discussions in class helped me realize that each genre has restrictions on how the creators want to tell a story/get certain messages across. So, authors have to be aware of the medium they're writing in in order to make full use of it. #1102girlhood

I really enjoyed all the different types of media we explored this semester. Normally, I'm used to just read books and the occasional movie in English classes but we read comics, listened to podcasts, and watched a tv show in addition to books. #1102girlhood

@ronan_empire This is especially surprising at GT!

Your tweet just inspired me to look up her wiki page and wow, I didn't know she was also a Rear Admiral in the Navy!

[Ling T @ling45678]

@teengirl061899 I definitely feel this too!! These are experiences specific to the freshmen community. What I'm gonna miss the most is being able to go back to my dorm throughout the day for naps. My apartment next year is too far away and sooo inconvenient

[Ling T @ling45678]

@rtosaki3 I'm reading her Wikipedia page right now because this girl accomplished so much at just 19! Some of the info is so sad: she continued to wear men's clothing while camping during battles and in prison because it deterred molestation/rape.

[Ling T @ling45678]

@heejoo_jin I'm not sure but hopefully future teenage girls will grow up in a world better for women! There's already a big shift in messaging towards girls with the focus on #girlpower, being strong, and being able to do whatever they want. That's awesome!

[Ling T @ling45678]

@SimoneDaniell12 This question made me think about something we discussed earlier in the semester. Someone say something about how adults have power over teens and teens essentially live in a world created and controlled by adults. Authorities are only adults.

[Ling T @ling45678]

@hannahsherrill8 I love working in the quiet floors of the library! It makes me super focused because I'm not distracted by things around me. I wrote half of my explanatory paper up there!

[Ling T @ling45678]

@ldaws3 Thanks! I thought creating a video game would be fun and relatively easy (haha I was so wrong) and there were many elements of my girl's life that suited being transformed into parts of a video game!

[Ling T @ling45678]

Just turned in my Explanatory paper and my creative adaptation! I did a video game and wow, I have so much respect for video game designers now. I did a very simple game and it was so hard! Here's a picture of the start! #1102girlhood

[Ling T @ling45678]

@heejoo_jin I had a short extension! I heard that there was only one person who didn't use any form of an extension. But thanks!!

[Ling T @ling45678]

@spoon6412 GameMaker Studio 2! It's actually a really good program but it was a little confusing to use because I did not know the little details and in-and-outs

[Ling T @ling45678]

@phamjuliann Thanks! I had to turn it in by last night because I already used my extension for something else. Haha I usually never turn something in early!

[Ling T @ling45678]

@Ziang_Ren I did a video game too but I went for a more 8bit retro visual. Good luck to you!! Designing a video game is so frustrating sometimes, I spent to much time just combing through documentation and searching up help threads. Your's looks really cool though!

[Ling T @ling45678]

@ronan_empire Last semester it took me like a good 2 days because that's because I'm really slow at writing. I would definitely allot at least 1 day for it!
