The varying material we used for this class also helped us explore the teenage girl further rather than limiting ourselves to books which provided different perspectives to expand our views. #1102girlhood

As I'm finalizing my history girl project and reaching the end of the semester, I've realized how much I've learnt about the teenage girl and how she is constantly evolving. #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@jesswolf223 I agree I've read more than I have in a long time and it even motivated me to buy some books to read over the summer #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@tahmidhasan1999 Yes it also had a lot of similarities to the three novels we discussed such as being involved in a complex competition #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@ling45678 That is such a cool idea! What did you use to make the game? #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@CaseyAlane For the explanatory paper do the two sections have to be separate parts of the paper or can they be combined? #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@mary_zuidema I was just wondering what is your creative adaptation? #1102girlhood

@o_jkjk_o Yes this is definitely an important part of a teenager that also came up in many of the YA novel presentations #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@SimoneDaniell12 I agree! Despite the different cultural and social aspects we explored all the discussions were engaging and everyone was considerate of other's different perspectives #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@melinavarro1102 Yeah we really got to see all the different aspects that combine to make the teenage girl who she is throughout the semester #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@GioMT3 Jumped in on this extension squad! #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@o_jkjk_o Like when Emily comes out to her mom in Pretty Little Liars she is mad at first and later we just see her apologize and come to terms with it #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

@o_jkjk_o It was also interesting to see the journey her mom went through to come through which is something that is not always portrayed in other TV shows #1102girlhood

[Saira Poonnen @spoon6412]

It was interesting to see how despite having different perspectives and views the family was still able to come together and embrace each other. #1102girlhood

I loved how One Day at a Time was able to be funny, clever and touching all at the same time #1102girlhood
