Many Asake fans have been flooding my DMs, attacking me and telling me to remove the picture on my profile. Honestly, I don't even know if all of them are genuine Asake fans. Some might even be Blaqbonez fans pretending to be Asake fans. Who knows?
But I must say, most of you are still kid and immature.
Let's speak honestly: I strongly believe Seyi Vibez has a bigger fan base and is a better vocalist than Asake. His musical delivery, versatility and connection with his audience speak volumes. Talkless of upcoming artistes like Blaqbonez, I don't even think they belong in this particular comparison.
You don't have to agree with my opinion, but that doesn't mean you should attack me for expressing it.
Being a fan of an artiste doesn't mean you must blindly defend them or pretend they are better than everyone else. You can love Asake and still acknowledge Seyi Vibez's talent. You can support your favourite artiste and still admit when another artiste is doing something exceptional.
Music is not a war, and having a different opinion doesn't make anyone your enemy. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, and nobody should be forced to change their favourite artiste just to please a fan base.
You can be a loyal fan without being a blind supporter. Learn to separate being a fan from accepting other people's opinions. At the end of the day, music is about talent, entertainment and personal preference, not unnecessary fan wars.
