@notguss Yeah exactly that specific scene use was just not it. Even the one where they use Felix's whole past stuff too like you can dislike Felix sure but using clips that showcase his abuse does not make you look good at all
@notguss Mocking child abuse to make your fave look better is NOT IT. You can prefer Alya without using trauma as a punchline. What's with this fandom degrading characters to uplift their owns recently
@ladynoirose@lilazzera@Shadowmist0511 Her if chat knows she says that she doesn't tell him cuz what if he tells Adrien which is basically S4 all over again, I can't trust chat cuz he got akumatized so I should lie again. Same with not trusting adrien with sublime which we supposedly cleared before.
@ladynoirose@lilazzera@Shadowmist0511 Problem with Marinette isn't that she's not getting consequences, it's more of what happens after them. Let's take strike back, she had a whole spiral regretting not trusting chat noir etc and got comforted, and then what? We went back to square 1 in revelator when alya asked+
This bait. this cheap feminism needs to go. nothing i repeat NOTHING compares to gaslighting your own boyfriend about his abusive terrorist dad. his dad that robbed his agency, made him do things without his consent and KILLED him before. Think before u press send
@b_beomchoi@whiskersnoirr being seen as a natural, human response to hearing that his father died a villain, people started saying he was wrong for reacting that way because Marinette "suffered" too. As if his pain is secondary. As if his grief is less valid because she was also hurting yk
@b_beomchoi@whiskersnoirr she didn't ask for. But the problem is that Adrien's side—the side of the literal victim—has barely been explored at all.
When Marinette finally told him the truth (or rather, a version of it), his reaction was brushed off so fast. He pushed Ladybug away, and instead of that+
@b_beomchoi@whiskersnoirr Exactly! I love Marinette too, but the show is so heavily skewed toward her that Adrien barely gets crumbs. And when he does, it's usually just to support her arc. I just want him to have his own story and growth!
mlbtok genuinely needs to wrap it up
do NOT speak on my goat nino like this this boy has the kindest heart
“but he believed lila” the entire class was cursed with the idiot spell around that girl for plot convenience
@whiskersnoirr should use Adrien's limited screentime for actual development, not just him being Marinette's bf. The Marinette angst is fine in moderation, but it's overwhelming when it's her side 24/7.
I'm not even asking for insane screentime, just better use and quality of what little he gets
@whiskersnoirr I love Marinette, but the constant angst around her every five seconds is exhausting. Out of 26 episodes, only 2 are genuinely Adrien-centric, while the majority revolve around Marinette. I get that the show is probably Marinette-centric by design, but at the very least, they-
i'm dropping this show if they keep giving us the same Marinette centric formula, even when it comes to storylines that are directly related to Adrien and belong to him (and I love Marinette but omg 😭)
