@Mykuhl@Out5p0ken@engineering Blocking should always have been about restricting people from seeing your content. The way your comment describes it in the lower half is people abusing the block button. Which is unfortunate but not a good reason to berid our privacy.
@wildgamer3001 @Out5p0ken@engineering Wrong.
Instagram doesn’t.
Deviantart doesn’t.
Facebook may or may not do this I no longer use it.
This is just to name a few.
@gogetit_23@JoeKoffee@Out5p0ken@engineering I’ve tried blocking people on YouTube. That feature is flat out gone.
But this doesn’t really happen on discord because if the style of app it is. It’s hardly a website. It can happen on YouTube though yes.
@mrq02@Out5p0ken What you just said makes no sense and not only that but when twitter was originally going to get *rid* of block feature, it was at high risk to be removed from apple products (iPhone, iPad, etc)
Please explain what you mean by “service to block user” but not “user to block user”
@KJovian@Out5p0ken@engineering It’s not though. Instagram for sure and I’m pretty sure Facebook still do not allow you to view someone’s page/can’t see their posts when blocked. Deviantart flat out blocks you from seeing the page of those who block you & those you block. This names a few.
@Sinney_Scwasp @ChaosKitty36 @Out5p0ken@engineering And before you go saying “they can just use an alt to get access to your stuff”.
Those accounts can be banned for doing literally just that. It’s called block evading. Which has always been against rules. If you block evade and post a screencap with whatever you want to say, +
@flcralfortunes have a lot to think about in regards to it. My heart aches for those who are hurting from this. Please stay safe everyone and make sure to take care of yourselves.
@flcralfortunes // I DM'ed you earlier but I wanted to say here that I hope you and everyone else who was hurt are able to recover, as someone who has endured and continues to struggle with the lasting effect of this kind of behavior. I am heartbroken by so much of what was shared here, and 1/2
@TypicalRatBoi @JuucJuice @rbg690@cicaloltwt @evainelol In this situation it means “you’re the ass” kind of easy to tell by the joke apology imo. YTA also goes with AITA which is “am I the asshole”
