My second attempt to quit Twitter (X). Mastodon didn't seem to do the job, so I will try Bluesky now. Same user name: PhantomTT (https://t.co/hivPqjwdyp). See you there?
Bir insan ne kadar güzel olabilirse o kadar güzeldi Özkan Uğur. Onunla birlikte "benim" memleketimden çok büyük bir taş daha eksildi. Işıklar içinde uyu özel insan.
@NS_Int Update on this: After not receiving any response from @NS_Int on my compensation requests for months, I am informed that the processing time will be 30 WEEKS! Even in NS standards this is ridiculous.
Think twice when you book nightjet trains! In an effort to abate carbon emissions, I booked many Utrecht-Zurich nightjet trips in a single-sleeper cabin (berth). Two out of the three times so far I am told during boarding that my car simply is not there! @NS_Int@unsereOEBB
I've many more tickets for the coming months, but obviously I don't trust that they will work. Funny thing is that my tickets say they are not refundable, so I am stuck! Isn't it fraud that @NS_Int@unsereOEBB sell tickets, not allow refund, and not deliver the promised service?
It's very sad to see what Twitter is turning into. Apparently it is time to move on. I opened a new account at Mastodon with my same user name @PhantomTT, using mstdn dot social as my server. Please feel free to get in touch with me there.

We are used to hearing terrifying sweatshop stories at suppliers in Asia that manufacture for their western MNE customers, but now this! https://t.co/AmIbiz9Efn
@scheltehe @NS_Int@unsereOEBB Yes, the train arrived on time today. The only response we received was "we don't know anything, the sleeper car didn't arrive, you are welcome to travel with us on a regular car".
Today, we recognize with our graduate students that paper rejections are a normal part of #academic life. Our faculty compete for sharing the worst rejection experience. Our PhD students are the jury.
When it comes to the carbon footprint of our diet, we focus on things like transport and packaging (the brown bit).
But most of the emissions come from land use and activities on the farm (green bit).
This is why *what* you eat matters much more.
