PCOS has a new name — Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, or PMOS for short.
Experts say the old name was misleading, since it suggests ovarian cysts are the main issue when they are not actually a defining feature.

Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome honestly makes way more sense than Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
Because this condition was never just about “ovarian cysts” or fertility.
Women with PCOS are at higher risk for:
-type 2 diabetes
-heart disease
-fatty liver disease
-sleep apnea
-high blood pressure
Yet so many women are never properly counseled about these risks or referred for appropriate care early enough. As a cardiometabolic physician, I meet women in their 50s and 60s dealing with advanced disease who tell me:
“I wish someone had warned me earlier.”
We minimized PCOS by treating it like a niche reproductive issue instead of the systemic metabolic condition it often is.
@AskMichaelTaiwo Please could you provide any evidence that this is why the change was made? I searched and couldn’t find any memo where this letter was referenced or cited as the reason for the change in policy
Home, again! Mission complete. I hope we glorified God, humanity, our families and our terrific teams a @NASA and @csa_asc. Time to share the good news!
@AFpost@RepRileyMoore Nigerians want an end to the menace of Insurgency that has plagued us for decades, the visa restrictions should be directed to those who are complicit in this crime, and not Christians who came to the US legally for sch or to build a better life for themselves away from the chaos
I wanna make this kid famous on tech twitter.
Read this post...this is baller stuff.
I was on a run and this kid @marvy_101 stopped me. Was on his bike, chased me down, and was out of breath, ha!!
He wanted to show me a new app he built.
Its called One Click Apply and lets students apply to lots of jobs at once.
He posted about it on his Linkedin. Went viral with 1,700 comments.
He's from Nigeria. Been here for 2 years for school.
Said he interned at Tesla last summer and has an internship at @Dell this summer.
Told me: "I wanna work on my One Click app this summer instead of an internship, but can't afford it."
Check out his twitter and blog. I'll share it in the next tweet, along with the cool app he made.
Looks like he's tinkering and making really cool apps + sharing with his tiny audience.
1. What a baller
2. These attributes (willingness to run me down to show me this, already make cool products) are what future ballers look like when young.
If you wanna work with him, fund him, whatever...DM this kid. Seems very promising.
His name is Oluwapelumi Dada.
Hey @MichaelDell, you should talk to Oluwapelumi.
