Like I mentioned yesterday, if the South doesn’t take education seriously, if they do not empower their youth, the ticking time-bomb that’ll explode will consume all of us. GOOD NEWS: Today, troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have recorded major operational gains across Zamfara and Katsina States, foiling multiple terrorist attacks, neutralising a notorious terrorist commander, recovering AK-47 rifles, ammunition and motorcycles and disrupting a large-scale assault through coordinated ground and air operations.

In Kaura Namoda, troops repelled attacks on communities, eliminated the notorious terrorist commander Alhaji Tukur, and forced terrorists to abandon another planned attack. In Katsina, troops also recovered weapons after engaging fleeing terrorists.

In a major boost to ongoing operations, the Nigerian Air Force reportedly intercepted and struck a convoy of about 300 terrorists on motorcycles advancing towards Gummi, preventing what could have been another deadly attack on civilians.

Kudos to the brave troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA and the Nigerian Air Force for their courage, professionalism and sacrifice. Sustaining this momentum is critical to dismantling terrorist networks and restoring lasting peace across the North West.
