Here we discussed #Nigeria's progress with compliance with IHR 2005 and building #health#security capacities between 2017 (initial JEE) and 2019 (mid-term JEE).

22 years I waited for last night.
Then it came! I stayed awake till about 3 am but I was not celebrating because strangely what I felt was not joy. What I felt was relief. The joy is just beginning to creep in.
The feeling of champions is beginning to come back!

The proper way to price a medical service is as a bundle that includes a follow-up. Nobody gets a consultation and a test to not then have results told to them directly. It's also poor medical practice.
To ask for a further payment to deliver results after an paid initial consultation is inappropriate. Perhaps do it via telemedicine to reduce time and costs but in medicine, if you order the test, you have a responsibility to communicate the results and their implications.
Dangote Refinery: A Monument to Nigeriaβs Untapped Possibility.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote,
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you not just on behalf of Nigeria, but for the entire African continent.
To witness what you have built at the Dangote Refinery is to confront, in the most tangible way, the scale of what is possible. The vision, the precision, the discipline behind every detail the engineering, the functionality, the sheer ambition stand as undeniable proof that there is absolutely nothing stopping Nigeria except our own limits of imagination and execution.
As I walked through that complex, many thoughts crossed my mind. Chief among them was this: we are not inferior to anyone on this planet. That facility could have been anything a massive water transfer scheme, a power grid, a space program, a military-industrial complex, or a world-class medical research hub. The discipline and clarity of purpose that created this refinery demonstrate that a serious, focused government can achieve even more if it applies private-sector rigor to national problem-solving.
When I saw the power infrastructure, I asked if it could power Lagos. I was told it could power all five South-West states. When I saw the water treatment and desalination systems, I asked if it could supply Lagos with water. The answer was clear: with the right investment, it is entirely possible after all, that is what Dubai did. In that moment, I knew such a vision could be replicated in Ogun State, should I be given the opportunity to serve.
I was equally struck by the depth of environmental consideration. The extent to which the ecosystem has been protected in the design is not just impressive it is exemplary.
I left that tour prouder to be Nigerian, and more convinced than ever that with focused, disciplined leadership, the future we imagine is not only possible it is within reach.
I almost did not attend the tour with the Oxford SaΓ―d Business School students, thinking I already understood the scale of what had been achieved. I was wrong. Being there has strengthened my belief in our capacity, simply because you proved it can be done.
Alhaji @AlikoDangote may Almighty Allah reward you.
May the Dangote Refinery continue to flourish.
And may it inspire those in positions of authority today and tomorrow that indeed, yes, we can.

Impressive tour, Otunba. We all left with more than a marvel about what is possible through purpose-driven leadership, clarity, and intentional execution.

Substance Over Spectacle - Gov @jidesanwoolu of Lagos.
In a political space crowded with noise and optics, Babajide Sanwo-Olu stands out for something rarer: disciplined, substantive leadership.
At a dinner with participants of the Oxford SaΓ―d Business School Advanced Diploma in Global Business (Class of 2025), he engaged an audience accustomed to working systems. Their questions were rigorous; his responses were precise, detailed, and refreshingly free of buzzwords or bravado.
He spoke clearly about Lagos within the broader national vision under @officialABAT, emphasizing continuity and the cumulative nature of governance. He acknowledged predecessors, not as a courtesy, but as a principle.
Just as important was his focus on building future capacity through the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy a recognition that institutions endure only when talent is deliberately cultivated.
In an environment that often rewards performance over depth, this was a reminder: effective leadership is not loud it is rigorous, coherent, and anchored in systems that work.
