A huge loss to the state… however if citizens are equitably allocated land… and their lives & livelihoods improve… it would be beneficial for the nation!

But… much of the land is still under water… may probably take another 10 to 15 or more years for the areas to be livable!

Why bring everyone around to Greater Male’ Area?

MDP was supposed to do away with the centralized thinking… but of course once they come to power… the easiest way was chosen, every time!

Nasheed began the binveriya scam first… giving Male’ people with land to “exchange” to Hulhumale land… but getting more area in Hulhumale.
Often said that people close to Nasheed were chosen for this scam. How this scheme was going to help or ease the burden on Male’, i don’t know.

With Solih… he brought the worst discrimination & inequities within Dhivehin. Male’-Raajjethe’re divide.

While there are many RTs who’s lived most of their lives in Male’, they were not allowed to be in the binveriya scheme. And such people often couldn’t apply to land in the place on their birth certificate.

Plus binveriya scheme completely IGNORES that the VALUE of land across Raajje is NOT THE SAME!

Land in Greater Male’ Area is FAR more valuable… by a HUGE margin!

So when a govt gives “free land” to citizens… they are not giving free land EQUITABLY!

Male’ born people are getting FAR more than the rest of Raajje!

Is this fair?
Is this just?
Is this Islamic?

Male’ people = $15 million

RTs = MRF 500,000

Sad part about it is RTs in MDP (and otherwise) are also oblivious or ok… with the policy their party brought… making them be treated as less than…
