The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney
This is what we wanted to deliver to our fans more than anything. This is a club that should always compete for everything and be right at the top. No excuses. All teams win games but in the end there’s only one champion. That’s what history remembers and this applies to next season as well.
I am genuinely sick of the middle class hysteria over children, smart phones and screens which OBVIOUSLY occludes the bigger, underlying problem: child poverty
@helen_charman@AllenLaneBooks @AitkenAlexander Was lucky enough to be given a proof, half way through & it's fascinating. Congratulations, so much work.
