The number of women navigating the criminal justice system, as victims, witnesses & perpetrators, has increased in the past 20 years.
Advocating for more #WomenInJustice means having more judges, prosecutors, and police who understand the experiences of women.

A young man once approached a male friend and I for assistance. The male friend refused to help him. Said he would have assisted if he was a woman. I told him he just discriminated against his kind. Many have that mentality. If you're quiet, your own will be quiet with you
International Men’s Day they did almost nothing. Over 80% of the CEOs of the companies listed on the Nigeria Stock Exchange are men. This is not as a result of lack of resources.
@igboonaija@A_Feranmi@tosinolaseinde She's trying to say that more men need to act in support of men, especially men in high positions.
Men need to support their kind. Women empowerment is so strong globally because women are fighting hard for their kind. They promote everything female at every given opportunity.
@tosinolaseinde True. A young man once approached a male friend and I for assistance. The male friend refused to help him. Said he would have assisted if he was a woman. I told him he just discriminated against his kind. Many have that mentality. If you're quiet, your own will be quiet with you
Boys have suffered societal neglect for so long. Whenever I raise the subject, people rant, then move on.
I hope we don't just get angry about the neglect of boys. I hope we actually work to help boys. Boys need their men especially. Dear men, please help the boychild.

I wrote about a street child I met here. When I visited a street boys' home last year, the boys there told me they knew him. They all took part in the Chess in Slums event at Mokola in Ibadan. He was in another home at the time. I'll find him again. https://t.co/QaKqqdbtQe…
@Nefertiiti I wrote about a street child I met here. When I visited a street ' home last year, the boys there told me they knew him. Said he was in another boys' home. I was very happy. I'll go find him as soon as I return to Nigeria. https://t.co/QaKqqdbtQe…
I shared Khalid's story last year. The street is no place for a child. It is unbelievable what goes on there. The most painful discovery since I started working with boys. These boys go through hell trying to survive. Such young victims of parental and societal neglect.

One horrible thing we discovered last year during medical check ups for the street kids we took off Lekki-epe expressway was they were being sexually molested and raped by the much older Area boys.
Horrible. Just horrible.
@Tunde_OD This is indeed painful to read. I work with boys, and I know a lot of boys out there are victims of what they are being accused of. I've spoken with boys on the streets and visited Juvenile Correctional homes, and I see young victims of societal neglect. Little boys struggling
@TreovaQuotes@eldivine@Wizarab10 Yes @TreovaQuotes. Thanks for the mention.
@eldivine I've been working with boys for the past 3years since I noticed the boychild crisis and the lack of support for boys. Please check my organisation's work helping boys on our IG platform. Thanks https://t.co/kY94668qWh
