If we decommodify the necessities of life (food/water, shelter, healthcare, education—all free and free to all), imagine what humanity could accomplish with our work.
It’s not about “getting out of” working. We want to put our labor toward what matters.

@StrikeDebt So many comments here assume people CHOOSE to make monthly payments low enough for interest to accrue, capitalize, and balloon the total debt. In most cases this is all the borrower can afford to pay.
It's money. It's totally, utterly money. When billionaires want something, it literally doesn't matter how much the rest of us hate it, they're gonna get their way.

wow, new bombshell reporting from @lukewgoldstein reveals:
- in 2023, Corey O'Connor strongly supported Ed Gainey's legal challenges to UPMC's property tax exemptions.
- in 2025, O'Connor's campaign received $25k from the UPMC Board.
- he now opposes the legal challenges.
Kidnapping an activist and jailing him in the middle of the night is a brazen act of authoritarianism.
Punishing dissent by revoking legal status is a dangerous precedent to set.
Poet Jasper Bernes’s (@outsidadgitator) “After Sean Bonney” pays tribute to the late English poet with a militant howl that demands the realization of communism’s emancipatory promise.

@StoryTom@pghDSA You think? I don’t read it that way (didn’t write it). I agree with it, and I also voted (begrudgingly) for one of the pro-cop, anti-immigration, genocidal capitalists 🤷🏻♀️
The ruling class would have you believe that voting is the only way regular people can act politically. We know voting is only one small act, true change requires political action and solidarity each and every day. Workers deserve more, & we are fighting to get what we deserve!
