He doesn’t want to die. He isn’t terminally ill. Or mentally ill. He isn’t even depressed.

Let me talk to you like a friend sitting at the kitchen table.

Being alone on Christmas Eve doesn’t mean you screwed up. It doesn’t mean you’re hard to love. And it damn sure doesn’t mean you got forgotten.

Every commercial, every song, every Hallmark movie is yelling “together, together, together.” So when you’re not, it feels like everybody else got the invite and yours got lost in the mail.

But here’s the part nobody really says…

A lot of people are alone tonight.
Not broken people.
Not bad people.
Strong people.

And listen, being alone ain’t the same thing as being lonely.
Lonely is feeling unseen. Unloved. Like you don’t matter.
Alone is just… quiet.

And quiet? That’s where healing sneaks in.
Quiet is where you finally hear your own thoughts.
Quiet is where God usually shows up and says what He’s been trying to say all along.

So if tonight feels a little heavy, that doesn’t make you weak.
It just means you’re human.

If all you do tonight is sit there, breathe, say a quick prayer, and tell yourself, “I’m still here”
That’s enough.
That counts.
That matters.

This isn’t the end of your story.
It’s just a quiet chapter.

And honestly?
Some of the best chapters start exactly like this.
