@canido_steve@agilepredict Charging car (7.4kW), house battery (6kW), washing machine/tumble dryer (3kW), a small pool heater (2kW) and then just the house and perhaps the dishwasher. All stuff I would have used anyway and no silly usage.
@larsmoravy Something really simple that would help in countries without FSD (I’m in the UK). A speed limiter; when not using autopilot (on winding roads for example) I’d like to be able to set a limit so I don’t exceed the speed limit (easy to do with all that torque!)
@sarah_go_green This is a step in the right direction but with a few hours tinkering on home assistant you can get this and more without a hefty upfront and recurring fee. Plus doesn’t have the integration with EV tariff nor GE AIO nor EV charger nor EV that I use.
@mb1234567832133 @sarah_go_green@g__j@OctopusEnergy I just got the email. Agree it’s annoying but also should point out it’s still (slightly) less than the 27p+ we had a few months ago. More concerning is the standing charge creep which I know @g__j has spoken against in the past. Still an incredible deal overall IMO.
@sarah_go_green My experience is that humidity is far more important to prevent damp. Higher temp usually brings down relative humidity, but airflow is quite critical to bringing down humidity/not allowing a buildup. Tado radiator thermostats show humidity and suggest when to open windows etc.
@g__j@john_oes Thanks Greg, and thanks for building such a great energy company, I always rave about Octopus (as evidenced by my high referral numbers!!)
@g__j Great story, nice to know there are people who care about people more than KPIs. As an aside I’ve been trying to get my broken smart meter replaced since mid August now. It’s no longer “metering” so have missed out on my export! Support are aware but no movement/comms 😔
@sarah_go_green@OctopusEnergy I just hope this isn’t the start of separate EV pricing. For example crediting you the difference between the standard rate and the EV rate (and not including your house/battery in the discount) similar to OVO
@JeffBedford@G4GUO @robaldred I’m using a GW inverter locally on HA; roughly updates every 10s. It’s a bit of a faff but once set up no need to touch it. If I remember correctly you set HA up with an add on that the GroWatt connects to and then HA connects to GroWatt servers. Works well but could be easier!
