@Met4CastUK Time to put the Climate Change sceptics to bed for good.
This continuing trend for persistent weather records to be broken just isn’t “normal Summer”.
The other abnormal new trend is for these high temperatures to be reached exceptionally quickly, rather than gradually.
@archer_rs Certainly agree with the soap operas, though there are fewer of those these days.Far too many game shows though.Could easily be cut by 50%.Shows such as Race across the World could be scaled back to the UK and Europe without loss of excitement.Too many celeb international jaunts
@DillonJMarston Not just Brazil,John. Think Holland,Italy and even Germany. Only France and Argentina seem to have kept up their standards. Arguably,England have actually improved collectively, certainly results wise🤔
@scott_gambier Somehow it just doesn’t feel right,or fair. The UK has probably the best FOOTBALL infrastructure in the world,as well as the smallest carbon footprint. The weather, however unpredictable,is far more conducive for playing. The US is the complete opposite of all the above🤦♂️
@20th_Centurygal I remember Atlanta Rhythm Section.I still have Quinella and listen regularly. I believe they still play the occasional festival.Very underrated
@lancecheek I was there. Family and Free were very good. The entire Saturday was sensational👌But the one I went to see was Hendrix, and his was the standout performance(though very late).I’ve never heard such raw power and virtuosity by a guitarist as in his Machine Gun version there
@20th_Centurygal Totally👌On top of which you could add a whole A4 size list of others including Tapestry,Every picture tells a story,Fireball etc etc.
IMO 1970and 1971 are the zenith years of Album releases, which I doubt will ever be bettered.
Todays offerings seem very weak by comparison🤔
@jeremycorbyn@AiringViews Exactly👌Yes,growth is essential and can definitely be achieved by AI(with obvious safeguards). What you do with that growth is what defines you as a politician and individual.Blair epitomises the very worst kind of person to have that power or influence🤦♂️🤬
@20th_Centurygal Ian Gillan
Ozzy Osbourne
Joe Cocker
Freddie Mercury
Roger Chapman
All the above Rock vocalists
I’d have a separate list for other genres
@SaulStaniforth Why on earth are Israel and the US allowed to attack targets at will during a “ceasefire” ie Cease Fire, and not receive any condemnation whatsoever🤦♂️These rogue states obey no rules
@philmcnulty@Everton@Everton should be not unlike Spurs,Villa and Newcastle. They all have a similar strong fanbase and overall historical success. A figuratively “top” team. It is unacceptable that the Toffees have been predominately underperforming for 34 YEARS and without a trophy for 31 of those
@philmcnulty A bit unfair to single out one player when the whole team was nowhere to be seen. Unfortunately,I see this present @Everton team going backwards and struggling again next season, yet again merely surviving rather than flourishing🤦♂️
We’ve provisionally recorded the UK’s highest daily minimum temperature for May on record 🌡️
Temperatures didn’t fall below 19.4°C at Kenley Airfield overnight, provisionally breaking the previous May record of 18.9°C set back in 1944
@TWOweather There is no doubt UK weather has changed beyond recognition for those of us of a certain age.Records NEVER kept being broken so often and by such large margins. One of the biggest changes being how quickly temperatures build up ie from average-record in a matter of a few days.
@jeremycorbyn Why is it that US/Israeli tech companies are allowed to gain our most confidential data without question or scrutiny.I don’t buy the “allies” argument. These companies exist for pure profit and the interests of their parent governments above all else.
