Isosbestic signals are used to artifact-correct experimental signals in fibre photometry, often by OLS regression. Inherent problems with this approach. 1/
I'm glad my last interactions with her were good ones.
If there's any takeaway from this, its to never forget to tell those you love how much they mean to you.
I too had a complicated relationship with her, even from childhood. I studied psych in part to better understand and maybe help her. I dont think that goal was ever achieved. I wish I'd had more time.
New pub: We saw greater punishment resistance for cocaine with RI60 schedule vs RR20. With food, similar results in ♀️ but ♂️ resistant with RR20 and RI60. @AdelisCruz_PhD@morg_palz@SophiaN_Handel

We are looking for someone who has experience conducting and analysing in vivo neural recordings, preferably fibre photometry.
Rat social behaviour/conditioning experience will be advantageous.
Interest in drug dev ideal!
@samamckenzie@DautanDaniel Sure! Feel free to send more details. I think only case dF matches dF/F is if there's no photobleaching. But if just looking at average transient across session + no temporal confound of events being compared, dF still not preferable but works (eg mean IRLS dF vs dF/F in fig)

@samamckenzie@DautanDaniel Its a good q. I dont know of a solution I'm fully satisfied with. We explored some ideas but they didnt clear theoretical+empirical bar. Maybe rescaling each signal by their baseline decay before fitting? Not without some v difficult assumptions, but could be worth exploring..
@DautanDaniel Differential bleaching is tricky. I dont think any current solutions fully address it, eg. detrending signals first comes with own problems (in preprint). I still favour IRLS over OLS under this condition.
Interesting you see less bleaching for isosbestic - most see opposite
