Big news: We’ve acquired @emergetools! 🛸 We're bringing their powerful mobile tooling into the Sentry platform. Expect smaller apps, fewer bugs, & happier users.
We at @getsentry look for brilliant people to build the next generation of application monitoring for mobile. Come and work with me https://t.co/EegLMJqiUp

@brungarc@cleptric@mitsuhiko During our post-processing pipeline, we look at the stacktraces of events stemming from the Cocoa SDK and store them to a dedicated Sentry project if it's a crash caused by the Cocoa SDK. My plan is to roll this out to more SDKs. The code is here https://t.co/UnEostEMy4

@Piwai Great writeup 👏. One thing to add: CPU usage matters cause continuous high CPU usage drains the battery. Other factors are also contributing, but CPU usage is one of them. Again one problem is that Apple and Google don't provide proper APIs for battery statistics.
@DanKorkelia @chrisvasselli @getsentry Can maybe you elaborate on what do you mean by big dependency and a fair bit of config, @DanKorkelia ? I would be interested.
Profiling is now generally available as part of Sentry’s performance monitoring solution.
Drill into the exact functions causing a bottleneck - no need for manual instrumentation or guessing at spans.
