While watching the black tern at Pugneys the other day catching flies, there was also a constant delivery of fish to their young by the common terns. I wonder if any anglers could confirm the type of fish being caught. @WakeyBirders@yorkshirewild
Great morning visit at the weekend to St Aidans @RSPBAireValley with @yorkshirewild. Two ospreys, bittern, spoonbills, kingfishers, little owl to name but a few.
Finally managed to see, and capture, the little owl in the oaks @NorthCaveWet Added bonus also seeing both birds - so there is a pair. @yorkshirewild@WakeyBirders
Three down, one to go. No dramas on the towpath this morning. Two juveniles on the flat roof near the nest and one on the factory roof on the other side of the canal! @huddperegrines@WfldPeregrines@yorkshirewild
I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to help recover a newly fledged juvenile from a towpath today. It was such a privilege to see this amazing bird at such close quarters. @huddperegrines@WfldPeregrines@yorkshirewild
